Home Health Aide & Home Health Aide Services from Right at Home
What are the responsibilities of a home health aide?
Home health aides work in clients' homes (or residential care facilities) where they help care for those who need services that exceed what companion care can provide. Home health aides provide hands-on care, including feeding assistance, bathing and dressing. In some instances, home health aides will also assist with duties such taking a patient’s temperature, pulse rate, and blood pressure.
Home health aides help elderly, convalescent, or disabled persons live in their own homes, whether that home is an individual residence or a retirement community.
What are Right at Home’s home health aide services?
A home health aide will assist with the following services and more:
Bathing
Walking Assistance
Posture Positioning
Continence Care
Oral Hygiene
Special Diet/Meal Preparation
Eating Assistance
Toileting Assistance
In addition to these basic services, our home health aides are required to document all services provided in Daily Care Notes. That’s because we feel it’s important to keep the family informed of the client’s care plan and answer any questions. The Daily Care Notes are a cornerstone of our home health aide services. We want everyone to feel comfortable with the caregiving situation and keep the lines of communication open.
Whether you live in the same town or are on the opposite coast, Right at Home will keep in touch with the family on a regular basis regarding our home health aide services.

The Right at Home Caregiver Difference
The Right at Home difference is in the caregivers we choose. We want you to ask, “Would I hire this person to care for my own mother?” and have the answer be “yes”, every time. Seeking out a caregiver who wants more than just a job is the key to our home health aide selection process. Our caretakers love what they do and it shows through in the quality of elderly care our clients receive. Right at Home often hears that our home health aides have the empathy and demeanor of a volunteer. In fact, many of them say that working for Right at Home is like Volunteering With A PaycheckSM.
Recruitment. To ensure that our standards are met, Right at Home engages in rigorous selection practices. The hiring of all of our caregivers, including our home health aides, starts with a thorough pre-screening process including:
Reference checks and background clearance
Personal interviews
Competency testing
Abuse registry clearance
Skills training via our Right at Home CERT ProgramSM
Sex Offender Registry
